This week..
-- ended with a visit by Grandma and Grandpa! We stayed super busy - assembling a new row of cabinets to install in the "eat-in" part of the kitchen, hanging picture ledges in the dining room, and staining and replacing the handrail on the back stairs. Of course, there was a lot of gawking over Elle's cuteness in there too! 9 months is such a fun age! Elle lows to chatter non-sense to herself, walking along any/all furniture, and this weekend she was walking with just one hand held. She is so curious intensely watching us bake in the kitchen, the energy-audit contractor (no surprise, we have big leaks around our outlets on our exterior walls), and exploring anything she reach around the house. She has mastered the see-something-on-the-floor--grab-it--swallow-it-instantly routine. Gone are the days I can rescue the pebble before it is swallowed. I suppose we will just continue to vacuum often and try not to lose sleep over the insoluble matter she continues to find...
