HOI-- WEEK 52

my current view on my parent's back porch

This week..
-- I took my last set of board exams! 7 hours of testing on Saturday and 9 hours of testing on Sunday and hopefully I'll be done with expensive tests until the end of residency! Woo hoo! But don't feel too sorry for me - I got home with enough time to take a bike ride around the city in this beautiful weather with T! Now if the cotton would just stop falling from the trees it would be absolutely perfect..
-- I had my last clinic in Omaha! Crazy! The title of this post is correct - I just finished my final week as an intern. I'll work one more month here in Omaha in the ICU at UNMC but I won't have any clinic time scheduled during since the hours are already too crazy. Wish me luck! Feel free to send all the good vibes and prayers my way - its going to be a busy & difficult month!
-- we made our post-residency plans official! T and I are so excited. We were looking for a smaller community where I can practice full-scope family practice (including c-sections), close to home, with awesome people, in a private-practice, somewhere that would be awesome to raise a family, without a crazy call schedule -- and we found it! We are so excited that our first choice worked out! It also means we can better plan for the future, especially financially. We are going to be able to drastically lower our student loan payment starting this month - yay! We are so fortunate!

xo,
Krista
