This week...
-- we "escaped" from an "escape room" puzzle with my family. It was so much fun. We got in to a groove and were able to solve all of the clues before our hour expired. They did give us two clues but we didn't ask for them! We probably would have stalled and ran out of time without the clues -- but the room had <50% complete rate so we were pretty pumped. T and I are loving this extra time with family as we steal a room for a few weeks!
-- T and I nearly unpacked our entire new townhome! Now the garage is almost floor to ceiling with empty boxes (we're hoping that someone on Craig's List will take them off our hands..) We were so glad we took what felt like a million trips to the Salvation Army before we moved. We still have a handful of boxes of stuff that doesn't have an obvious place - but our home is now totally livable. I take that back, it will be totally livable once the internet is activated this week -- amiright?
-- I've been working on the gastroenterology consult service at UNMC. This month has been so action-packed so far that I don't think I've even mentioned my rotation! What does GI do in the hospital? We take care of a lot of people that are bleeding from their digestive track (sometimes life-threatening!), acute/chronic gall bladder or liver issues, and (it seems like a lot of) pancreatic cancer. We've been a busy service which is not leaving much time to study for boards that I'll take the end of this month. Yikes. I'm planning on long-days for the next couple weeks to pull this off..
xo,
Krista
