-- I was in the middle of a 10-day stretch of being "on-call". For this rotation, being the person on-call just means you see any of the hospital consults during normal working hours. Unlike other rotations, this stretch of call did not bring me in to the hospital in the middle of the night!
-- we celebrated Gma's 93rd birthday! She is such a joy! We had an open house with finger sandwiches, fruit, and always strawberry wedding cake. YUM. We have a fair amount of family in Omaha so we love reasons to bring everyone together. In two weeks, we will see each other again for a fabulous wedding!
-- I channeled The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up and started to thumb through our home. I sent a box of books to Amazon for them to sell, gave away a box of medical school texts to neighbors, and have a growing pile of clothes to send to goodwill. The countdown is on! I have 60 days to declutter before we start to put everything in boxes!
-- we went to a comedy show + cake auction fundraiser and brought home a delicious chocolate mouse cake with chocolate ganache. We tried to win a few other desserts as well but our pockets weren't quite deep enough! It was a fun night!
