The two photos I took this week: a selfie and half of an ingested pill (by a toddler) Two photos T took this week: UNO hockey and UNL wrestling! |
This week..
-- I worked the night shift at Children's Hospital. That means I took over care of half of the kids in the hospital overnight while my coworker took calls on the other half. Besides their care, we also do the admits to the hospital that come in overnight. It is a busy job but the shifts pass quickly! Now I'm doing my best to not nap this afternoon so I can switch my sleep schedule back to days! Plus, you get to wear scrubs -- so no complaints here!-- T enjoyed both a Maverick hockey game in Omaha and Husker wrestling duel in Lincoln after he returned from Colorado. I love that he stays entertained when I am busy at work! He is currently dreaming of future vacations including a potential boundary water fishing trip with some guys.. It doesn't take much to talk T into an adventure :)
-- I didn't cook a single meal! I consumed 100% of my food at the hospital - kinda pathetic, huh? Thankfully Children's is generous and gives us cafeteria money so none of it was out of my pocket. As good as it is to have someone prepare a meal for you, I'm excited to get back to cooking this week. But I still don't plan to pack a lunch!
-- it is so good to have T home and be on similar schedules! I know this blog post is getting repetitive but being away at the hospital nearly all your waking hours sure makes you appreciate your time at home.

Krista
