SI-- WEEK FOURTEEN

This month I am working at Bellevue Medical Center on Labor & Delivery. It will be a busy month because I am on call basically every 3rd night. But what better reason is there to be called-in in the middle of the night? I can't think of any! There aren't many call rooms at BMC, so we take home call (which is at times nice and at times annoying). My parents stopped by with dinner on my first call night this month:

Earlier this week when dinner plans with friends fell through, T had the awesome idea to sneak away to the cabin for a short but sweet bonfire. We picked up hot chocolates from Starbucks to keep us warm in the cool Autumn weather while we built the fire. The night was totally spontaneous but a fabulous mid-week getaway before we see very little of each other this month.

Speaking of T, he spent his weekend in Kansas City with a friend:

He missed an amazing wedding while he was gone. One of my best friends from college married a guy from my medical school class in a beautiful ceremony. The whole celebration just fit them perfectly! In attendance were my friends from college, medical school, and my college job in housing. I had a fantastic time catching up with everyone who is now spread across the country in various masters or doctorate programs. We laughed and danced until it was evident the Huskers needed our cheers during the 4th quarter of the game. We hopped next-door to a sports bar where we thought we could personally force an epic comeback - unfortunately it didn't work. But nonetheless, we had a blast.

This week ahead will be all work but then we head to Houston for a long weekend! Unfortunately it's all for me to take an expensive, silly test.. but we will get to see some of T's family and a few of our good friends. If you have any favorite restaurants or attractions be sure to let us know!

xo,
Krista
