I still have a ways to go until I'm where I'd like to be. My ideal work wardrobe would be, for example, 5 classic but quality bottoms [black straight leg pants, black ankle pants, black pencil skirt, navy pencil skirt, tan pencil skirt], 5-7 quality tops, and a few pairs heels & flats. Done. Maybe a dress or two. But not the 1,000 options that sort of coordinate with each other but are made of materials that are getting pilly from rubbing against my white coat because they are casual-clothes handmedowns from a friend. I'm so over that.
I know you all probably don't care about this clothing purge - like at all. But poor T had to hear about it constantly for the past week or two.. so I need to document this so we can giggle about it in the future. The is embarrassing to admit, but it's so me that I want to tell you that in order to figure out "my style" and be at the point where I could weed out so many pieces - I spent hours on Pinterest pinning pictures of outfits that I thought I would love to own. Then, I went back through those pictures and looked for themes & my absolute favorites. It was so helpful! That secret board (that way I wasn't assaulting anyone's newsfeed with outfits) was super telling of my plain, classic style. A lot of what I like may not be exciting to anyone else, but it's my thing.. so I'm over trying to be trendy:
a lot of black, chambray, skinny jeans, stripes, and fitted skirts! |

I definitely don't expect to get more than 1-2 things on my list - but that is the best part of having a fall birthday! Christmas is just a few months away :)
I'm back to Children's Hospital for my final week with Infectious Disease and I'm going to try to be grateful for each free second in my day since the next two months will be BUSY! Hope you all enjoyed your week and weren't smothered by the humidity!
xo,
Krista
