This week was a busy one.. and not nearly as fun as the others. T was one of the "lucky" people who had one of the rare, serious complications to a simple, every-day antibiotic. The good news is that after multiple doctor visits and blood draws he is finally on the uphill. He has eaten more in the last 24 hours than he did for 8 straight days combined. His skin is still quite yellow from an angry liver & gall bladder- but that should fade in the next few days or so.
Instead of retelling how I collapsed on the kitchen floor sobbing one night as T was in excruciating pain.. I'm going to be Pollyanna (as my mom would call me) and list the positives of the past week:
+ I had a reason to be home with T instead of spending late nights at school.
+ Our grocery budget will stretch farther this month- with more room for treats!
+ There was no reason to clear off the kitchen table- I could keep my spread out all week
+ T is excited that he will probably lose a few pounds and be closer to his "fighting weight" :)
+ I could eat dinner the minute I felt hungry.. and eat whatever I wanted. No waiting for T to get home from work. No need for anything fancier than cereal or scrambled eggs.
+ Our amazing friends have reached out to us reminding us how lucky we are to be surrounded by such wonderful people!

I hope you had a less-eventful week and have some plans to be outside soon!

Krista
PS- Yes. I'm still shuffling across my car from the passenger side. But the body shop took a peek this week and we should be making an appointment shortly!
